will be materially increased at thisI

league elections will be held at the
permanent booth which is operated in
this building.
Pictures and the record of campus
activities of the various candidates
will be posted at the booth to aid thel
voting decisions. Some changes have
been necessitated in the list, of candi -
dates until tomorrow. The major
candidates remain the same namely,
Evelyn Murray, '27, Marjor ie Miller,'
'27, and Dorothy Malcomson, '27, for
president; and Helen Reece, '27, an('
Margaret Nichols, '27, for vice-presi-
dent.

Old Time Dances

B. J. Lovette, Henry Ford's danc-
ing instructor, will give members of
the physical education faculty and
major students of physical education
some lessons in old-fashioned danc-
ing tomorrow night. The instruction,
commencing at 8 o'clock in Sarah
Caswell Angell hall, Barbour gymnas-
ium, will include quadrilles, waltzes,

"Mothers' Week-end," established
as a University tradition during the
past several years, will be held the1
week-end of May 7-9. This will in-
clude Mothers' day which i Sunday,

Extensive plans are under way
which will include a tour of the cam-
pus, a faculty reception and tea, and,
I possibly the presentation of one ofI
the student productions at the Mimes
theater.

Following the interclass activities,

Sunday morning convocation serv-
ices, under the auspices of the Stu-,
dent Christian association, will bei
held as usual with special reference
to Mothers' day. The speaker for
the occasion is Dr. Willard L. Sperryj
of the Divinity school of Harvard.
Any suggestions which the student
body may have regarding the program
are welcomed" by the committee in
charge. Anyone desiring information
or having suggestions should get in
touch with Robert J. Brown, who is
chairman of the Mothers' day com-
mittee.

RIFLE TEAM IMPROVES
ON PREVIOUS SCIS
Mary Allshouse had the highest
score on the rifle team for this past
week when she shot a total of 194.1
The four other high scorers were:I
Anne Wheeler, '26, 193; Frances Huff,
'26, 193; Gertrude Benham, '28, 192;
and Stella Sturos, '27, 189. This makes
Michigan's score amount to 961, which
is an improvement over those pre-
viously made.
The results of the matches shot
during the week ending March 27 show
Michigan, 483, University of Kansas,
500; Michigan-929, South Dakota Ag-
ricultural and Mechanical college,j
946; and the third match was for-'
feited to Michigan by North Dakota.
The .team to shoot in the matches
scheduled for this week will be com-
