yesterday at a conference of athletic
representatives and hockey coaches at
the University of Minnesota.
Sponsors hope to put the ice game
on a firmer basis in middle western
colleges, and establish a league con-
parable to the eastern intercollegiate
hockey association. Coach Emil Ev-
erson, University of Minnesota, an-
nounced the schools which have en-
tered the league. They are: Notre
Dame, Marquette, Michigan, Michigan
State, Michigan college of Mines, Wis-
consin, North Dakota university,
North Dokota Agricultural college,
Minnesota, St. Thomas, Carleton, St.
Olaf, St Johns, McAllister, and Eve-
leth, and Hibbings, junior colleges.
To equalize the calibre of the com-
petition the leage will be divided into
three divisions with the larger nsti-
tutions in the senior class, state col-
leges and normals in the junior di-
vision, and schools playing the game
for the first time in another class.
Rules adopted permit body check-1
ing only within the goal area, twenty
feet from the net, and prohibit check-
ing in to boards any place on the
rink. Tlelve players will be the
limit that may be carried on a trip.
League officials will make an effort
to have the League championship of
the loop entered in the trial to deter-
mine the United State entry in the
Olympics, Coach Iverson said.I

The Steenth Sale Counts
First sales mean little in our young
lives except as the beginning of your
steady patronage. We expect to keep on
doing business at the old stand for quite
a while-so we plan for the second and
third and 'steenth sale. You're sure of
getting a good shirt at a fair price-we
want you to come back!

Men Completing Their College Wcork
We are enlisting in our organization earnest, young
college men who have an ambition to- make a permanent
success in a profitable selling field. These ien need not be
experienced, provided they meet certain requirements. They
must be healthy, intelligent, and above all industrious.
Selected applicants are put through a thorough schooling
at our expense in preparation for their work. On completing
this satisfactorily, they are assigned to a selling unit on a
commission and bonus basis, permitting an earning power
limited only by ability and effort.
Throughout both training and working period they are
furnished with the supervision and co-operation of experienced
and successful managers whose own interests require the indi-
vidual salesman to progress and develop. Our executives and
managers are promoted from the ranks.
They are assisted by the tremendous advantage provided
in the established good will of a product nationally a4ver-
tised for eleven years and generally and favorably known as
a sound value to every possible purchaser, and of an organiza-
tion admitted to be the oldest and strongest in its field.
This is a two-way proposition. We expect certain
definite things from the applicant and in return see that his
efforts are made profitable to him. We do not want floaters
or easy money hunters. For the man who will work intelli-
gently and consistently, we have certain very definite and
permanent inducements to offer.
Please apply by letter.
