D~etroit is to have another big newj
radio station. The antennae supports
have already been erected in the roof
of the new Cladillac hotel on Michigai,
avenue.
Things look better for the fans who
find radio expensive. It is expected
with the expiration of , lpatents on
vacuum tubes the price will slowly
gt where we can build heterodyne or
neurodyne sets.
Fortunes l ave been mnade in raio
and some lost, sets have improved,
radio has become a universal hobby,
it amuses young and old--yet thcn.
ire still some who remember when
it was a thrill to get K D K A.

and baseball games but best of all xa

Radio is now sold in Berlin by
street vendors. A small aeral is at.-
tached to their cart with which theyr
can demonstrate receiving stations.
An undersea diver recently was
heard from station WIP, Philadelphia.
The diver was connected to the boat
with an electric wire and the boat to
the pier and it was then telephoned1
to the station from which it was
brcradca:§t.
