confirmed this morning in a telegram
from F. W. Luehring, director of
athletics at the University of Minne-
sota. The reason is that the stadium!
is not completed and cannot be fin-
ished before the middle of November.
"It has been our plan from the be-
ginning, " stated Director Luehring
in his telegram to Director Yost, "to
have the dedication at the time of the!
first big home game and have Home-
coming at the .time of the second big
game.
"The greater University corpora-
tion, which provided the funds for
the stadium, thought that it would be
illogical to dedicate the stadium be-
fore it was fully completed. Although
all the seats are ready, the structure
will not be fully completed until No-
vember 15, at which time the Great-
er University corporation plans thel
dedication.

game."
In commenting on Minnesota's de-
cision, Director Yost said this morn-
ing, "This situation is similar to thec
one which arose at Iillinois last year
when the Chicago game had been
planned as the dedication game. How-
ever, the Illinois stadium was not.
completed until nearly a year later
and so dedication was deferred until'
this year."
Club to Mobilize Women
The General Federation of Women's
clubs, through its slegislative com-
mittee, is stressing the importance of
mobilizing club women for "child
labor amendment drive." Arkansas is
the first state to ratify the amend-
ment.. A two-thirds ratification is
necessary tb make the amendment,j
I adopted by congress, into law affect-j
ing all states alike.
