Mid-Winter Days
Brings Desires for New Costumes
That Skirt-Blouse Combinations Fulfill
As the first semces-er reaches "finals' and mid-winter brings bright,
sunny days that hint of spring, the College Girl yearns for new costumes;
yet winter attire may not he entirely discarded for several weeks. Dame
Fashion has provided something new for these particular weeks, how-
ever, and has proved herself a true friend by introducing attractive skirt-
blouse costumes.
The Skirt Often is the
Better Half of the Costume
The skirt often is the better half of such a costume and so the new
Spring skirts have been selected with unusual care. For those who
prefer the wrap-around type there are skirts of checked flannel, novelty
tweed and rough skirtings'while finely pleated models appear in the
plain wool crepes and in new skirt weaves. Prices range from $5.95 up.

Blouses Are Fore-
Runners of Springtime
The new Blouses are indeed Spring-
time fore-runners for they appear in
such fresh, dainty and thoroughly
delightful styles that a girl can't help
but be pleased with their newness.
Dainty Dimity
Models Are Tailored
The dimity blouses come in tailored
modes with tucking and touches of
drawn work to relieve their plain-
ness, priced $1.95 and $2.95. The
newest thing in tailored blouses is
the madras blouse with a stiff pique
front finely tucked. These blouses
are priced, $5.75.
Tub-Silk Models
Are Always Popular
Tub silk blouses in white with stripes
in dainty colors, made with the round
collars, strictly tailored, and very
suitable for wear with the tailleur
are especially attractive at $10.75.
A Frill on One Side
Is Blouse Vogue
Many a blouse owes its success to
the dainty frill down one side of the
front. Some very attractive models
of fine white fabric with a double
frill on one side edged in color are
certain of popularity at $4.95.
Costume Blouses
Are Prominent Now
The costume blouses of crepe silk
in solid colors and the fancy canton
crepe blouses with long sleeves that
are shirred into narrow wrist bands
are unusually nice for wear with the
skirt. They are priced $3:95 and
$5.95.
