DISCOVERYON JOURNEY
With the return of Prof. William Hl.
Hobbs, of the geology dlepartment, dis-
closure of the work of Prof. F. C. Case,
of the same department, was made. In
an interview, Professor Case refused
to make any statement regarding the
results of his research while on his
trip around the world, but Professor
Hobbs threw some light on the work
on his return.
While working in a field in Australia
which had been frequently visited by
geologists, Professor Case unearthed a
fossil sea lily wholly unknown in that
part of the earth. The importance of
the discovery lies in the fact that the
presence of the fossil in the strata
will change the estimated age of the
(eposit materially.
