TAXEDTOAACT
ILLINOIS AND WISCONSIN G NE
APPLICATIONS EXCEEID LAST
YE AR'S BY THOUSANDS
i4<
Present indications are that Ferry
field this year will be taxed to its
capacity fcr the big football games,
according to officials of the Athletic
association.
Alumni applications for the home
games this fall are mnre numerous by
several thousand than at a corres-
ponding time last year. The Illinois
f,'me especially, the first opportunity
Wolevrine supporters will have this
year of seeing the 'postmen in action
against a Big Ten team, is proving a
great attraction for Michigan gradu-
ates, judg ing by the number of Ad-
vance applications for tickets re"-
ceived in the ALthletic association of-
fice. The Wisconsil game, also, isa
drawing card' for alumni, many re-
quests for reservations having been
sent to athletic officials. Figures as
to the total number of advance sales
and reservations will not be avail-
able for several days, but record at-
teidances are predicted. The Mich-
igan-O. S. U. game will draw a large
gathering of Wolverine undergradu-
ates and alumni, approximately one-
third of Michigan's quota of seats al-
ready being sold on reserved.
Rules similar to those of previous
years relative to student apportioning
of seats for home games will apply
thIis year. Upperclassmen . will, be
liven priorityrigats, but it is strictly
emphasized by those,in charge of the
ticket distrilgmtion that upperclassmen
applying for tickets together with un-
derclassmen will receive the latter
rating in choice of seats.-
