M 3ENORAIL SOCIETY TO RAISE
FUND TO AID EUROPEAN JEWS
'I Due to wholesale expulsions and
ipersecutions causing the desperate
j plight of the Jewish students in east-
ern Europe, especially in Vienna,
Lemberg, Budapest, and Prague, the
Intercollegiate Menorah association
has started a campaign to raise a re-
lief fund of $50,000 among the Jew-
ish students and graduates of the col-
leges and universities of the United
States and Canada.
The quota which the Michigan
chapter of the organization has set out
to raise has been placed at $750. An
attempt will be made to reach every
Jewish student on the campus by per-
sonal solicitation.
IAll Jewish students, whether Men-
orah members or not, are urged to at-
tend a meeting to be held at 3:30
o'clock Sunday in Lane hall, when
final arrangements for the drive will
be made.
ATTENTION MASONS
The Craftsmen Club will meet at
the Masonic Temple, Corner of Huron
and Main, Saturday evening, October
23rd, at eight o'clock. Every Mason
on the campus is invited, especially
those desiring to take a part on the
jdegree teams this winter..
