today and tomorrow at the Whitney
theater. The exterior scenes of this
picture were taken in the Ozark
mountains and the interiors in Cali-
fornia. The work of production was
long and arduous, with no sparing of
expense. All the people engaged in
the picture have had many thrilling
experiences for Mr. Wright has been
exacting in his insistence that there
should be no trick photography.
The actress engaged for the part
of Sammy Lane is an xpert horse-
woman and the scene of her wild night
ride along the mountain side to save
the old shepard is one of the most ex-
citing ever seen upon the screen.
AT THE MAJESTIC
In Marguerite Clark's new picture,
"Little Miss Hoover," which is to be
seen at the Majestic theater today and

Tom Moore, the happy-go-lucky
young Irishman; who rose to stardom
in Goldywin pictures because the pub-
lic demanded it, is said by those who
have seen "Go West, Young Man," to
have equalled, if not surpassed his
play, "Thirty a Week." As the spend-
thrift son of an unrelenting parent
the star has some of the best comedy
moments of his career. When he start
out to seek his fortune-and incident-
ally earn a suit of clothes-drama en-
ters his life for the first time. From
then on, when he finds himself ipn a far
Western town, the problems both com-
ic and tragic of the erstwhile son of
luxury come one after the other in
rapid succession. Altogether. Tom
Moore promises to surprise photbplay
audiences all over the world in "Go
West, Young Man," which will be dis-
played at the Arcade theater today
and tomorrow.
WILLARD SIGNED ARTICLES
FOR BATTLE THIS SUMMER
Jess Willard has signed with Tex
Rickard, the famous fight promoter,
for a battle in July. Rickard got Jess
to come out of retirement by offering
a purse of $100,000. The terms of the
agreement provide that the champion
must meet any opponent that Tex may
select, which, probably means Demp-
sey or Gorges Carpentier.
To seal the deal both Willard and
Rickard are going to post $10,000 Sat-
urday.

ADDITIONAL SPORTS
TWENTY-SIX MEN REMAIN ON
FRESHMAN BASKETBALL SQUAD
(Continued from Page Three)
The men now showing up in best
form at practice are: forwards, West-
brooke, Rea, Burkhardt, Meilstrop,
Rannell; centers, Dunne, Mason;
guards, Wolsson, Peare, Barney,
Creno, Allen, Merkel.
Team to Be Picked Soon
The All-Fresh, or regulars, will be
picked this week and as the com-
petition is unusually keen it is a
matter of great interest to many just
what the coach's decision will be.
The number selected will be eight.
"I find I am having a hard time
choosing the All-fresh team," was the
statement of the coach last night.
"I would rather not make any deci-
sion at the present time and, if it
were not that some regular team
should be picked to represent the
freshmen, I would put it off to the
very last of the season. It must be
clearly understood, however, that the
rest of the squad wil be kept on
for the remainder of the year. The
freshmen team is primarily for the
lining-up of material for the Var-
sity of the following year. Because
a freshman does not make the All-
Fresh it does not follow that his
chances for the Varsity -are gone,
and, on the other hand, an All-
Fresh man is not necessarily assur-
ed a berth on the Varsity."

EXAMS PUT TRACK
M E N AT STUDIES
Fearing the coming examinations
many of the track candidates have
not reported for workouts the past
few afternoons at Waterman gymna-
sium, but have evidently remained at
home preparing for the nearing fin-
als.
Nothing of importance has occur-
red in the past few days, none but a
faithful few appearing in suits, and
it is not likely that anything will
take place until the start of the next
semester. Coach Farrell is looking
forward to the opening of school aft-
er the bluebooks with interest as
this time will be the real beginning
of the track season. Many who have
not yet worked out at all havo
promised to put in an appearance
and preparation to win the Confer-
