S. A. T. C. - MEN
KEEP INSURANCE
Every day several letters are re-
ceived at headquarters from men dis-
charged from the S. A. T .C. making
inquiries about their insurance. Near-
ly all the men kept their insurance
but many of them have dropped their
Liberty bonds, some of them stopping
payments since they have been dis-
charged.
Thenumber of men in charge of the
S. A. T. C. unit in Ann Arbor will be
decreased today when two of the ser-
geants receive their discharges. The
other two sergeants will probably be
dismissed tomorrow. These discharges
will leave only Major Ralph H. Durkee
and seven other commissioned officers
here to finish up the work of closing
the post which is being rapidly done.
LOCAL DRAFT BOARD RECORD
FILING ALMOST COMPLETED
The work of filing the records of this
district is practically complete and
the inspector of the local boards of
Michigan is expected any day accord-
ing to Private W. T. Groves, limited
service, connected with the local draft
board. The records of this district
are thought to be the most complete
in the state as practically all of the
questionnaires for men between the
ages of 36 and. 47 had been sent out
before the order to withhold them had
arrived. The records, which number
about 11,000, will be kept easily acces-
sible at all times.
