DL ELOISI WALCIR PULITVNS,
THIRD OF SRIS OF LICTUXM-3
The third hygiene lecture was de-
livered by Dr. Eloise Walker at 4:0
o'clock yesterday afternoon at Bar-
hour Gymnasium. The subject of the
lecture was "The Alimentary Canal
and the Digestion." Special atten-
tion -was given to the care of the
teeth and the mouth. The value of
regularity in eating was also discuss-
ed. Pleasant companionship at meals
is very desirable says Dr. Walker,
since the digestion depends. largely
on the mental attitude. For this
reason girls are urged to take time
to enjoy their meals.

A trick of fate brings to the place
the girl he loved back East, and whom
he never has forgot. Again Bill fights
to win her-and he succeeds against
odds and obstacles that would have
daunted any less sturdy than he.
In Bill Stratton, Mr. Farnum has
found one of the finest and most ap-
pealing characterizations he has yet
had for the cinemas, and his work
in the part is really superb. The
whole production is exceedingly well
mounted and extremely well staged,
so that the story is provided with an
excellent background.
A special musical program has been
arranged for tomorrow, both for aft-
ernoon and evening performances.

Monday was the' first time in
two weeks that anattempt has been
made to control the fire in the Uni-
versity coal pile. The condition had
been better until then, when a
small blaze broke out in the south'
end. the fire has been burning for
over a month now and will probably'
never be extinguished as long as the
coal remains there. It is caused by
spontaneous combustion and cannot
be permanently controled. To extin-
guish the fires the hot coals are rak-
ed over and exposed to the air.
West Hall Remains Open This Winter
While West hall was closed for sev-
eral weeks last winter due to the coal,
shortage, it is expected. that condi-
tions will not necessitate that action
this year. The amount of coal both
in the city and at the University
promises well for a warm winter.

new de luxe production, "Rough and
Ready." takes the screen. Mr. Farnum
is without a peer in his field and
has long been established as Amer-
ica's most popular dramatio actor.
"Rough and Ready" fits him like the
proverbial glove. Mr. Farnum's lead-
ing lady is petite Violet Palmer, whom
picture enthusiasts will remember as
the co-star in "The Blue Streak."
Others in the cast who have important
roles are Alphonse Either, Jessie Arn-
old, David Higgins, Frank Newton,
Mabel Bardine and Franklin Mc-
Glynn.
