"The Bitrth of a Nation"~ at the Whitney
. The Birth of a Nation," now at the
Whitney theater for -a three days' en-
gagement, has broken the record for
amount of money taken in, and
amount of attendance at every theater
in which it has played.
In the story proper. 18,000 people
and 3,000 horses are seen in thrilling
detail. It also tells of the rise and
fall of slavery in this country, and
the relationship of slavery to the ma-
kin- of American history. It is un-
questionably one of the big achieve-
ments of the American stage.
