hlospital Reports 20 Per Cent Increase
The university hospital reports an
increase in registration of 20 per cent
over last year for the eight months
just past. If the number of patients
cared for in the hospital continues to
increase at the same rate for the re-
maining four months, it will total to
about 11,000. The number confined
in the hospital for the entire year
would have been greater had it not
been for the grip epidemic of January
because more than, thirty nurses were
ill with the grip during this period,
making it necessary for the authori-
ties to refuse admittance to many ap-
plicants.
