TODAY IN HILL AU DITORIUM

ence department, stated yesterday, that
"Mr. Coudert is the foremost inter-
national lawyer in America today."
Besides his international law work,
Mr. Coudert has a large general
practice in New York city. He is the
author of several books which repre-
sent the advanced sentiment of the le-
gal profession. Two of his works are
"Certainty and Justice" and "Prece-
dent and Progress."
Many prominent Detroit lawyers
have signified their intention of at-
tending the address by Mr. Coudert.
Among these are Regent H. C. Bulk-
ley, Henry M. Campbell, John W.
Bedimont, Henry E. Bodman, Clarence
A. Lightner, Julian W. Harris, and
George L. Canfield. Messrs. Bulkley,
Lightner, and Canfield are honorary
members of the Order of the Coif.
Edward S. Rogers, John M. Zane and
Frank F. Reed of Chicago have been
invited and are also expected to be in
Ann Arbor for the address.
An invitation has also been extend-
ed to Newton D. Baker, secretary of
war, who delivered the address be-
fore the Coif two years ago. Many
of the younger members of the bar
will also be present.
After the address in Hill auditorium,
there will be a dinner for the members
of the Coif at the Union at 6:30 o'clock,
at which Mr. Coudert will be enter-
tained as the guest of honor and will
speak a second time. While in Ann
Arbor, Mr. Coudert will be the guest
of Dean Bates. President Harry B.
Hutchins will be present at all of the
functions attended by Mr. Coudert.

ALPHA NU TO ELECT OFFICERS
AND DISCVSS CONSTITFION
Election of officers for the corng
year and a discussion of the proposed
constitution will be the chief matters
to come up before Alpha Nu literary
society at a meeting to be held this
evening at 7:00 o'clock in the society
rooms. Elections will be held for the
following offices: President, vice presi-
dent, secretary, treasurer, marshall,
and oratorical delegate.
Following the election of officers,
different members of the society will
be called on for nominating speeches
in support of a candidate for president
of the United States._
Terry to Speak on "Storage Batteries"
"Storage Batteries" will be the sub-
ject of a speech by Mr. Chas. W. Ter-
ry at the meeting of the American in-
stitute of Electrical engineers tonight
at 7:30 o'clock in room 229, Engineer-
ing building. Election of officers will
also be held at this meeting.

a forfeit. Due to the dropping out of
the pharmies from the series,.the se-
nior fits were also compelled to take
a layoff.
