Souvenir. Hunters Make Off with Sign
Several students, apparently in
search of souvenirs, severed the rope
which held the fire sale sign in front
of Schleede's State street book store
Friday afternoon, and, in the presence
of a dozen or more interested onlook-
ers, ran off with the sign. The guilty
parties have not been discovered.

"The model school will fill a long
felt want," said Prof. A. S. Whitney,
of the educational department, in
speaking of the plans. "Michigan is
practically the only large state uni-
versity without a training school for
high school teachers." While the plans
as stated are only tentative and de-
pend largely upon the amount of mon-
ey granted by the state legislature,
Professor Whitney is confident that, in
the near future, Michigan will at least
have a university high school.
