language designated by the immigrant
and debarring those who fail from en-
tering.
ORATORICAL ASSOCIATION TO
PRQJOVCE "A CURIOUS MIISHIAP"
Goldoi's' Copedy Will be Presented

"A 'Curious Mishap," is the name of
the play to be produced by the Oratori-
cal association this year, on December
4 and 5, in University Hall. The play
is a comedy, written by Carlo Goldoni,
and is considered to be one of the best
of the numerous works by that famous,
Italian author. The "Fan," which was
staged two years ago by the Oratorical
association, is by the same author, and
this year's choice is considered super-
ior to it, and equal to "The Rivals"
and "She Stoops to, Conquer," which'
Have been given 'in the past.
Of the seven studenuts who have
parts in "A Curious Mishap," five have
appeared on thle platform of Univer-
sity Hall before. The fuill cast is as
follows: Phillibert, a rich Dutch mer-
chant, Walker Petticord, '14-'1 6L;
Giannia, daughter of Phillibert, Fran-
cis Hickok, '15; Riccardo, a broker,
Leslie W. Lisle, '14='17L; Costanza,
daughter of Riccardo, Bess Baker, '15;
De La Cotterie, a French lieutenant,
Louis Eich, '12 grad.; Mirriania, ser-
vant of Giannia, Ethyl Fox, '15; Gas-
covue. servant of Cotterie, Earl Ross,
'15.
