OUN CEMENT

How many of us would sacrifice our
spring holidays in order to assist in
the search for the victims of last Sun-
day's drow-ning? Yet. this is what a
number of students fronm Lake Mich-
igan cities are starting in to do, with
a determination which promises much
for the ultimate success of the search.
Michigan may well be thankful, for
students, of such caliber.
It might be well to suggest that
these men, versed as they are in this'
sort of work,' be not further handi-
capped'i their quest by those stu-
dents, who, although 'ambitious to
help, are a burden because of their
unfamiliarity with the water. Many
men who took possession of the avail-
able boats_ yesterday might well have
given way to others, better acquainted
with, blats and able to swim. This is
hardly the time of year for the un-
sophisticated to take chances with
thie Huron, always tricky, and. now
way over 'its. banks.
We hope that more of the right
sort of mene will respond to' Prof.
Johnston's call for help. And all.
Michigan wishes the searchers imme-
diate success.

women of the UJniversit~y of Michigan
club of that city and on Sunday noon
will address the, class in' Practical
