CLASS FOOTBALL TA KES A SLUNP
AJnior and Sophomore Blacksmiths
Stage Initial Game Thursday.
Reports from class football mana-
gers point to a decided slump in ma-
terial for the class football teams this
year and a number of the class mana-
gers are losing their nights' sleep
wondering where they are going to get
enough men to make up a team. With
the exception of the junior and soph
engineers who are scheduled to fur-
nish the initial entertainment of the
inter-ch4ss series next 'Thursday few
squads have turned out for practice.
Judging from the willingness and
"hurry-up" shown by these two teams'
during their preliminary training of
the past week, the first struggle of
the season promises to be something
of a real fight.
All candidates for the various class
teams must have had their physical
condition passed upon and their scho-
lastic eligibility in the hands of the
class manager b;y Monday noon if they
wish to participate in the sport this
year.

of explanations of the methods by
which famous orators attained their
proficiency and extracts from their
best-known productions. The book
will be used as a text in Professor
Trueblood's course, "The Study of
Great Orators."
