EXCHANGE DAY
)fiehigan's Drinking Song to Date
(Cum apologibus Eugene Field)
Come, let us quaff a loving cup
Our health will never fail;
Comrades fill your tankards up
With sparkling ginger ale!!
Gone are the demons, rum and wine,
Brandy, gin, and beer;
Gone is the devil's deep design,
And ginger ale is here!!
Gone is the juice of the apple,
And barley's amber brew;
We'll file into the chapel,
And cheer the temperance crew!!
.Victory has smiled today
Upon our warriors bold;
So comrades fill your tankards up-
The ginger ale is cold!!

What though the chilly north wind
blows,
What though it snows and snows,
What though the lake wears winter
clothes,
'Tis spring I'm sure of that;
I've seen the grass and violets grow,
And tulips nod and roses blow,
A garden hose, a rake, a hoe,
On Jonesie's new spring hat.

Today's Special
A swelled head makes a man a prig.
And sudden trouble often brews;
For few men ever get so big,
Some other man can't fill their shoes.
