YOUR CLASS TEAM.
What are inter-class contests for,
anyway? Are they instituted to give
some fifteen men a chance to earn
their numerals? Is it true that the
contestants are the only interested
ones? South Ferry field during a class
contest seems to show it.
Cet out tomorrow and get back of
your team! You need the outing; the
team neds your shouting. They have
sacrificed much that they may be wor-
thy of representing you The glory
they win redounds to the class, and
"ou share it!
The institution of class contests can
justify its existence only in the inter-
est of the students. That interest must
be inanifested in the support they give
their teams. Do you believe in these
contests? Then get behind your team
and show it.
AN AGREEMENT.
The Michigan Daily has entered in-
to an agreement with the anti-Confer-
ence representative to the effect that
after Sunday's issue of The Daily
nothing of a partisan nature will ap-
pear in The Daily columns.
The voting to petition the Regents
will begin on Monday and continue
on Tuesday and Wednesday of next
week.,
News stories of the progress of the
voting will be run, but will merely
state the results of the voting.
There is a feeling on both sides that
by Sunday the issues will have been
fully presented on both sides. We do
not care to attempt to influence you
after you have the facts.

MANY PEOPLE SEE
CHRYSANTHEMUMS
Two thousand people thronged the
main corridor of Alumni Memorial
hall, Thursday, to witness the open-
ing of the second annual exhibit of
chrysanthemums. Three thousand va-
rieties of flowers practically all fromj
the university botanical gardens, com-
prised the show which turned the
stone floor of the main hall into a
veritable flowertgarden. The features
of the show are natural green chrys-
anthemus recently imported from Aus-
tria. The show will last as long as
the flowers remain fresh, probably
two or three weeks.
CAMPUS IN BRIEF.
-Membership in the Michigan Union
has reached 2,660. This an increase
of 20 per cent over last year at this
time which was 2,120. The new sup-
ply of bruttons have been received and
those who did not get their member-
ship buttons may have them by calling
at the Union now.
I -Roscoe Spencer was elected presi-
dent of the fresh law class at the re-
election held yesterday afternoon.
-As a result of the placing of posters
about the campus, the number of pa-
tients attending the dental clinic is
exceeding the record of former years.
--Repairs on the cornice on West flall
are nearly completed. The work has
been going on since the early part of
the month and is now being rushed,
as the noise is a great inconvenience
to the classes held in that building.
--Owing to the teachers' banquet 2f
Waterman gym, the gymnasium floor
will be out of commission today. The
showers and lockers can be used,
however.
-Dr. N. S. Hoff, dean of the dental de-3
partment ,has just received three an-
cient Egyptian skulls from Dr. L. J.
Mitchell, '84D, of London. The skulls
were unearthed from the chamber of
a large tomb of about 1600 B. C.
-The Craftsmen will hold their first
dance of the year at the Packard
academy, this evening, at 9:00 o'clock.
The chaperones will be Mr. and Mrs.
R. A. Campbell.
-On account of the muddy field, class
football teams were idle. yesterday
afternoon. This morning at 10:00
o'clock the junior and fresh laws will
meet.
Regular meeting of the 1916 medics,
at 11:00 a. m. Friday, west lecture
