DRUGS AID ENTWISTLE DEATH -
The Internet Movie Database report-
ed that legendary Who bassist John
Entwistle's death came as a result of
a massive cocain overdose and not
the heart attack as previously
reported. The Las Vegas Coroner's
Office issued a report that the sig-
nigicant amount of cocain in
Entwistle's system combined with a
previous heart condition lead to his
death in a Las Vegas hotel room.
The Who have continued on with
their recent American tour despite
the absence of their beloved "Ox."
Bandmates. expressed shock over
Entwistle's unknown heart problem
but also admitted they have worried
about Entwistle's health for years.
The Who will play the Palace with a
replacement bassist in August.

GREENLIGHT FOR 'FOUNTAIN" -
As Chud.com reports, Warner Bros.
has finally given Darren Aronofsky
("Pi") the go ahead on his next pic-
ture, "The Fountain," a time travel
epic to be shot in Australia. Aronof-
sky was originally slated to direct
the Batman prequel "Batman Year
One" for Warner Bros., but with
Wolfgang Peterson's "Superman Vs.
Batman" in pre-production Aronof-
sky has moved onto this other script
he has long readied for the big
screen. With an estimated budget of
$70 million, "The Fountain" stars a
self-proclaimed, "bin-Laden" beard-
sporting Brad Pitt in the lead role.
Costarring are Cate Blanchett and
Ellen Bustyn, an Oscar nominee for
her mesmerizing performance as a
pill-popping, TV-addicted mother in

Aronofsky's terribly dark "Requiem
For A Dream."
LAW, FARRELL TO DO BATTLE? -
Speaking of Peterson's "Superman
Vs. Batman," Chud claims that
recent casting reports are premature.
News spread last week that Jude
"A.I. Sucks" Law has been cast as
Superman and Colin "Minority
Report Blows" Farrell as Batman in
the ultimate battle of comic-book
titans. Now, word comes that while
both are in the running, no final
decisions have yet been made. The
blockbuster-to-be will have dual set-
tings of Gotham and Metropolis and
present the two action figures saving
the world in a post-9/11 reality.
Peterson hopes all this will make up
for "Air Force One."
