to the old system of free internet play. The
biggest addition is Hardcore Me,
which allows a created character onl e

over, and the player must start again from
scratch. The major motivation for gamers
to use this option is a new ranking system
that displays the best players of each class

characters are both ranked on this system,

One of the new elements of "Diablo II"
is the skill tree. Instead of simple magic
that can be learned by any character,
"Diablo 11" features spells and abilities that
are specific to each character. Old
favorites such as Holy Bolt and Golem are
still present, but can only be learned by the
Paladin and Necromancer, respectively.
New skills include things like Meteor.
