The undercover operations by the AAPD raised
cry of protest from student groups last fall, when
he police raided fraternity and house parties, issu-
ing dozens of citations. Some claimed the espe-
:ially vigorous activity of the AAPD was prompt-

ed by the death of LSA student Courtney Cantor
last October.
Cantor died after falling from her sixth-story resi-
dence hall window, after she had consumed alcohol
at a fraternity party hours earlier. Since her death, the
implications of underage drinking have been exam-
ined by the University community.
In the raids following Cantor's death, the AAPD
issued a total of 135 citations for drinking underage,
using false identification and supplying alcohol to
minors.
