Reds blank Pirates
CINCINNATI (AP) - Mario Soto
blanked Pittsburgh on five hits and Ron
Oester hit a two-run double as the Cin-
cinnati Reds posted a 5-0 victory over
the Pirates last night.
Soto, 2-2, struck out 11 in his second
consecutive complete game. His
season total of 54 strikeouts leads the
Nationa League.
