there factored Michigan's big-budget
athletic department into your decision
when it came time to choose what college you
would attend. It's OK - loving sports is almost
a prerequisite for becoming a Wolverine. From
the Big House to the Fish, Michigan's athlet-
ic campus is full of exciting sporting events.
Whether you're tailgating before football
games or braving the elements on your way to
Crisler Arena, be sure to bring school spirit.

It's nosecret that college athletic pro-
grams have to deal with departure on
a regular basis. Some players are good
enough to leave school early and some4
are lost to graduation. And every year,
Michigan teams have to fill crucial
holes in their starting rosters. This year
is no different. See the key holes for the
football, basketball and hockey teams
and who will be there to fill in.

Everyone knows about Michigan Sta-
dium, one of the most recognizable
structures in American sports history.
But maybe you haven't heard that Yost
Ice Arena is home to one of the rowdi-
est crowds you'll ever see at a sporting
event or that Michigan has spent mil-
lions to renovate its baseball and softball
complexes. Learn why (or why not) each
venue is worth checking out.

the higher-profile sports like football
and basketball, these teams get little
or no attention from fans, media and
Michigan students. We compiled a list
