Michigan's favorites, according to Facebook

What are University of
Michigan students watch-
ing, listening to and read-
ing? You could just ask the
friends you meet during
Welcome Week, but their
answers will probably just
get lost in the hazy memo-
ries of so much introduc-
tory small talk.
So, we enlisted the help
of the ever-useful social
networking tool Face-.
book.com to catalog the
top ten movies, television
shows, music and books
listed on Michigan net-
work members' pages.
With Soulja Boy blast-
ing from almost every
party on campus and

the slightly more hipster
crowd lauding its favorite
obscure indie groups, it's
a little surprising to see
bands like Jack Johnson
and Coldplay topping the
list. And apparently Uni-
versity students are into
dumb humor - naming
three Will Farrell movies
in the top five is proof.
You may not agree that
"1984" is a better book
than the Bible or that
"Family Guy" is the best
show on TV. But accord-
ing to Facebook, you'll
want to be familiar with
them - you might need to
quote Stewie more often
than you would think.
