Cut a few minutes Lloyd
off the descent from
the Hill by heading
down to the Central
Campus Recreational
Building and taking a
hard left once you reach
the building. Follow the
alley until you reach Ged-
des Avenue. Then, instead of
staying on Geddes, go toward
the Campus Chapel and follow
the path between the chapel an
the parking structure.

THE
ALLEY
A point of pride for
Ann Arbor natives,
while this alley isn't
exactly a well-kept
secret, it's a mystery
to most students. Cut
straight through the
Thayer Street parking
structure to the stair
and exit directly out in
- narrow alley. A gem, e
cially when you have t
E the structure to get so
on State Street.

THE
DETOUR
Whether you're y
traveling on foot or
by car, the trip from
Huron Street to Bor-
ders or the Michigan
Theatre on Liberty Street
doesn't have to take you
all the way down to State.
Street. Try an alternative
route through the parking
lots on Huron that empty out
onto Ann Street. Then, instead
of going down Ann to State, go
down the small, one-way street
that empties out onto Liberty,
directly across from Borders.

THE
SIDE DOOR
While the imposing
steps of the Angell
Hall are awe-inspir-
ing, they can also be
MpSON more exercise than
you were hoping to get
on your way to class. If
you're headed to lecture in
DIVISION an Angell Hall auditorium,
skip the main entrance and
go past the bike racks to the
handicap access door instead.
E It's not as grand, but you won't
feel like you just spent five min-
utes on a StairMaster.

THE
NATURE TRAIL
If you're jonesing
for a sub, it's an
easy hike from Cen-
tral Campus to the
Jimmy John's on Ann
Street if you follow the
pathway around the U
versity Reformed Chu
It's also a more scenic
than the trek along GI
Street.

Cutting through
the Undergraduate
Science Building is a
nice way to get through
the otherwise impen-
etrable block. Head up
past the dental school and
into the USB. Once inside,
go to the elevator and take
it a floor down, into the par
ing structure. Walk straigh
out and you'll find yourselfc
E ground level again next to t
Power Center.
