Hot Dog Man not finished

At the Iowa game two week-
ends ago, I came back to my seat
in the student section with 10
hot dogs for my friends, who had
left. I saw a friend standing up
one section over and yelled, "Hey
Tommy, want a hot dog?"
To the delight of fans, I threw
him one. I bought eight more hot
dogs and yelled, "Who wants a
hot dog?" Everyone stood up and
began cheering as I tossed them
out. It was a thrill.
After I was finished, eight ush-
ers came and and took me from
the stadium amid rampant boos
and chants of "Hot Dog Man" and
"Let him stay."
They were positive that I had
been throwing full water bottles
and wanted me arrested, but the
cops told them they couldn't.
After a repeat performance at
the Northwestern game, I might
want to do it long into the future.
The root of my desire to do this
has been my lifelongimpulse to
buy Michigan coach Lloyd Carr
a hot dog. I have been going to

dotes. Just keep them under

Michigan baseball games for
a few years now, hoping to see
Lloyd there and buy him a hot
dog. Hopefully, some day my
dream will come true.
JAY TR ZCINSKI
Shakespearean
drama before class
I was waiting for my English
lecture on "Julius Caesar" to start
yesterday in the Natural Science
Auditorium when two students
burst in.
One carried copies of the
Michigan Every Three Weekly,
a campus humor magazine. The
other carried a sign that said "God
Hates the Every Three Weekly"
and chanted "No!" repeatedly.
One girl, obviously on edge after

seeing the radical preachers on
the Diag earlier in the semester,
asked the fake protester what the
sign said.
When he told her, she tried to
initiate a theological debate.
"Doesn't God love everyone?"
she asked.
The student with the sign
ignored her. She fumed for a
moment until someone nearby let
her in on the joke.

No Picard, but a
lookalike
The Royal Shakespeare Com-
pany made a surprise appearance
at a theatre Halloween party
Saturday night. The beer-splat-
tered living room erupted into
applause at about 1 a.m. when
six RSC members strode in. One
was dressed as Captain Jean Luc
Picard of Star Trek. Patrick Stew-
art, who played Picard and is in
RSC, missed out on the fun.

from a student punching him
twice in the stomach during a
lecture in Montreal.
