Harpo's all tied up

Robbery? Expect all of this and more
when the nine member, gut-churning,
metal collective known as Slipknot
invades Harpo's tonight. Hailing from
Des Moines, Iowa toting special made
masks, prison-like coverals and

Slipknot takes
their own show

Born Shawn Crahan, he dresses up
like a deranged clown that sports a

faces," No. 6 boasts. "People might
think it's a 'cop out' but I don't care
what people think. I'm sick of the rock
and roll cliche, it's so retarded, ugly,
and overdone and it's such a lie. Who
cares what we look like, it's not about
our hairstyle, what we wear, or endorse.
We're there to play music and unite in
the universal language."
No. 6 plays a specialized drum set
and adds a unique element to the
group's live show. His custom drum kit
consists of a beer keg and bass drums
on top of a hydraulic lift that bounces
up and down during the performance.
Notorious for their intense violent
performances, some members of
Slipknot have been rushed to the hospi-
tal after shows for head trauma or bro-
ken bones. "I'm in so much pain," said
No. 6, "we just got off tour and I went
