Heaven help me...
"Dear God... please give me better luck with Grid-
des than I had at Michigan Stadium Saturday. I promise
I won't whine anymore. I swear I won't keep
reminding everyone what an inexperienced team we are
without the Rocket. I promise I won't act all upset :
when the press picks us to win the national
championship, and I promise I won't complain anymore
about our really, really tough schedule."
Well, Lou you'll need better luck than last week
when Eugene Pantangco took the prize. Pantangco
correctly picked 18 of last weekends 20 games to win a
$10 gift certificate to O'Sullivan's Eatery & Pub. Here ;
are next weekend's Griddes games.
For your chance to join Lou in the battle for next
week's Griddes title, drop off your picks at the Student
Publications building at 420 Maynard by 5 p.m. Friday.

yards with no interceptions, including a 25-yard touchdown pass to Desmond Howard on a
fourth-and-one play. The previous record was 81 percent, set against the Fighting Irish in his
first game as Michigan quarterback in 1989.
BACKGROUND: Ranks third in Michigan history with 33 career touchdown passes ... Has
Michigan's second best career interception percentage (3.4%) ... Set a Michigan single season
record last season with 21 touchdown passes ... Has passed for 2,735 yards in his career prior

nationally with a 129.8 passing efficiency in 1990 ... Ranks second on Michigan's career
passing percentage list at 59.7 percent, prior to the 1991 season ... Teamed with Howard at
