The Eastern Michigan Open,
which takes place this Saturday,
marks the beginning of the 1989-90
collegiate wrestling season. For
many coaches, these early tourna-
ments are opportunities to warm up
for the conference season.
Michigan coach Dale Bahr, how-
ever, does not subscribe to this point
of view. He believes that these

tense in practice. Feldkamp's got a

The Wolverines are not entirely
inexperienced, though. Returning
starters Salem Yaffi, Larry Gotcher,
Sam Amine, Justin Spewock, and
Fritz Lehrke look to improve on
their performances of last year.
