BEST HAIRCUT OF THE YEAR:
Terry Mills
In Alaska, for the Great Alaskan shootout, Mills
sported a 'do in which the back of his head was shaved
in an upside down triangle shape. A nice mix of Pac
Man and Eddie Munster. Could have caught on like
J.R. Reid's flat-top had Bill Frieder not ordered that
Mills shave it off.
BEST TIME FOR A FAMILY: The
Mandels against Long Beach State

walk-ons and saw their first action in Michigan
uniforms against Long Beach State. Like each starter,
the brothers practiced every day for four straight years
and finally managed to get in during this blowout.
Truly hard-earned minutes. They were each in for three
plays, and in one instance, Bo sent Dave in for Scott,
with the upcoming play. While the two brothers ran by
each other, hoping to exchange high fives, they
collided. Maybe they should have practiced their con-
gratulatory salutes more often than hitting the blocking
sled.
