BEST RADIO STATION: WCBN
At last, our student-run campus station receives theprc t id v C n ote e
station can touch CBN's diversity. If you're still a
neophyte, tune in to 88.3 FM and hear what your
fellow students already know.
BEST LOCAL BAND:
The Difference
These pop funksters recently won a national MTV
talent search and evidently people are taking heed. The
Folkminers and Mission Impossible also garnered
considerable support. Despite plastering campus kiosks°
with his posters, Martin Kierzenbaum received only
three votes.

BEST LUCK: Demetrius Brown's
answered prayer against Iowa
Hail to Mary, not the Victors. With :02 seconds left in
the -first half, Brown launched a spiral into the air that
somehow landed 50 yards downfield in the arms of Greg
McMurtry. The touchdown opened up a 30-10 halftime lead.
WORST LUCK:
Ohio State's coach Earle Bruce being
fired the week of "the game"
The Buckeyes were on a mission against the Wolverines.
The players painted "Earle" on their headbands and went out
and played on sheer emotion. After falling behind, 13-0,
Ohio State came back to win, 23-20. Mission accomplished.
WORST NAMES TO PRONOUNCE:
You have Folkertsma and Ogunfiditimi in football, Pizz-
utello in tennis, Ignasiak in baseball, and Carol
Szczechowski representing women's basketball. But with
the way she played as a rookie, people might become very
familiar with her pronunciation.
BEST THIEF: Infielder Steve Finken
Even a seriousrankle injury a few years back couldn't
prevent Finken from surpassing Barry Larkin's all-time
Michigan stolen base record of 44.
WORST THIEF: Steve Stoyko
When fan-favorite Stoyko got his first Big Ten starting
assignment against Northwestern, anxiety took over. After
Glen Rice received a pass inside, Stoyko grabbed the ball
out of an astonished Rice's hands, and drew the foul.
BEST EMBARRASSING MOMENT:
Women's basketball player, Mary
Rosowski
After noticing a handsome gentleman in the airport,
Rosowski went over to him and called out some pick-up
lines. The man turned out to be Iowa's signal caller, starting
quarterback Chuck Hartlieb.
WORST EMBARRASSING MOMENT:
Kirk Taylor at Minnesota
When the first year guard was called on by Bill Frieder to
enter the game, Taylor ran or
