Schembechler, Marshall
and the members of the

posse agree that the victorious fight
increases the marshall's confidence.
However, the experience he gains in
the battle against a reckless western-
style defense may not be very
helpful when he has to face the big
guns of the Big Ten. The psych-
ological edge Brown obtains is more
important than the battlefield lessons
he learned.
The people laugh when the

news. A band of 49ers from Long

"Marshall Brown is going to blow

looking up from his work.

When the dust settles after the
_ fight, we see the bad guys riding off
into the horizon, taking with them
the spoils of a 26-7 victory.
Andrysiak plays the scene nearly
perfectly, hitting on 11 of 15 shots.
Marshall Brown, meanwhile,
staggers away from the site. Only
four of his 15 shots hit the target.
I, Three of his bullets were intercepted
by innocent bystanders. He leaves
y intact physically, but with a badly
wounded psyche. The residents
around the A2 Ranch begin to
question his ability. "Sure wish we
had the old shooter back," says the
barber, reminiscing about Brown's
predecessor, Marshall Jim Harbaugh.
