according to Michigan assist-i
ant track coach Ron Warhurst.t

said Warhurst. "There's a defi-
nite possibility of a four-minute
mile."
Providing the comoetition for
the senior co-captain will be
conference arch-rival Herb
Lindsay from Michigan State,
as well as Western's Tommy
Duits and unattached Tom By-
ers.
Lindsay is coming off a dou-
ble victory in the mile and two
mile last week against Michi-
gan Duits and Byers, formerly
of Ohio State, have both run
snb-four minute equivalents in
the 1500 meters recently.

vey's team has been criticized
for not dominating the smaller

Billy Donakowski and Steve El-
liott a rest this weekend.
"Those guys have been com-
peting since September (cross
country) and I like to give them
a chance for a mental break
whenever pobsible," explained
