SANTIAGO, Chile - All 15 mem-
bers of Chile's Cabinet resigned
on Tuesday to give President Sal-
vador Allende a free hand in fig-
uring out a way to end three
straight weeks of strikes, street

litical conflict.
The resignation of the cabinet
came shortly after Allende had ac-
cepted the resignations of two of
his ministers who plan to run for
senate seats in general elections
scheduled for next March.
