author of international reputation,
is a visiting professor with the Cen-
ter for Afro-American and African
Studies for the winter and spring
term. He has published over 20 scho-
lastic articles and pamphlets, andj
his books include: "A History of the
Upper Guinea Coast;" "pw Europe
Undeveloped Africa; Colonial and Pre-
colonial Times;" "Grounding with My,
Brother;" and "West Africa and the
Slave Trade." Dr. Rodney's first public
lecture will take place on Wednes-
day, March 1, 1972 at 8 P.M. in Lec-
