Canadian Students: Civil Service of
Canada announces examinations for
the following: Jr. Administrative Offi-
cers, Fhiance Officers, Archivists, Econ-
omists, Statisticians, Customs Apprais-
ers, Trade and Commerce Officers, Civil
Service Commission Officers, Foreign
Service Officers for Citizenship and Im-
migration, Foreign Service Officers for
External Affairs, Foreign Service Offi-
cers for Foreign Trade Service, and For-
eign Service Officers for Trade and
Commerce. These competitions are open
to university graduates, and undergrad-
uates who expect to ;graduate in 1960.
Your completed applications must be
in prior to Nov. 1, 1959. The examina-
tion will take two hours and will. b
held in Windsor on Sat., Nov. 14, 1959.
Applicants for Foreign Service Officer
positions will write an essay paper that
same Sat. afternoon. The Canadian
Civil Service is also giving examinations
for Engineers - Civil, Electrical and
Mechanical - on the same date as
above, with the closing date for appli-
cations again being Nov. 1. Application
blanks and complete information and
literature is on file at the Bureau of
Appointments now. Applications must
be in this week.
The Civil Service Commission also
announces opportunities for Graluates
in Agricultural Science, Biology and
Chemistry for work in Research, In-
spection, Regulation, Promotion, Settle-
ment and Management. No examina-
tion date has yet been announced for
these positions.a
