To Hold Tea
For Opening
Of Positions
The Assembly Association Peti-
tioning Tea will be held at 4 p.m.
tomorrow in the League.
Anyone interested in petitioning
for the Assembly Association Ex-
ecutive Board is invited to attend.
Present board members will be on
hand to answer questions and is-
sue petitions.
Joan Comiano '61, Assembly
president, said that petitions are
available for' president, first vice-
president, second vice-president,
treasurer and secretary, as well as
several chairmanships.
Petitioning will be held from
February 29 through March 25.

Rheingold To Head Offerings

Richard Wagner's "Das Rhein-
gold" will be presented at 8 p.m.
Tuesday through Saturday by the
music school and the speech de-
partment.
Directors are Prof. Josef Blatt
of the music school, who tran-
lated the opera into English, and
Prof. Jack E. Bender of the speech
department. Prof. Blatt and Prof.
Bender have collaborated on sev-
eral operas in the past, including
"Don Pasquale," "Rigoletto" and
"The Barber of Seville."
The two-hour performance will
run continuously, with no inter-
mission. Patrons are asked toar-
rive in time for the curtain.

The Pittsburgh Symphony Or-
chestra, under the direction of

William Steinberg, will give the
fourth concert of the extra series
at 8:30 p.m. tonmorrow in Hill
Aud.
Steinberg will conduct a pro-
gram to include Sonata, (Pian e
Forte) for Two Instrumental
Choirs by Gabrieli; (Symphony
No. 2 in D major) by Beethoven;
and Prelude to (Die Meistersinger)
by Wagner.
Steinberg is the ,conductor of
the London Philharmonic Orches-

tra, as well as the Pittsburgh
Symphony.
Jazz trumpeter Louis Armstrong
and his All-Stars will highlight
the Interhouse Council-Assembly
Association fifth Spring Show in
performancbs at 7:15 and 9:30
p.m. Saturday at Hill Aud.

be presented in partial fulfillment of

leinikoff, Beversdorf, Chabrier, Mozart
and Poulenc.
