URBANA (CPS)-The Univer-
sity of Illinois has reversed its
position on the listing of off-cam-
pus housing after a campaign by
student groups. Beginning March
15, owners of private rental hous-
ing in the town will have to sign
a pledge of non-discrimination.
There have been claims of dis-
scrimination against Negro and
foreign students.

PROVIDENCE-Thirty faculty
members of Brown University have
returned a questionnaire circulat-
ed by the Student Peace Union.
Sixteen of these. returns were in
favor of a proposal made tode-
vote at least one lecture per course
to a discussion of the world's arms
race and on the possibility of dis-
armament.

MT. PLEASANT--Four students
from Somalia at Central Michigan
University are compiling a dic-
tionary of slang for foreign stu-
dents. They have found that the
English they learned in classes was
not sufficient for conversation.

DELAWARE, Ohio-The student
council of Ohio Wesleyan Uni-
versity plans to test the univer-
sity's academic freedom by bring-
ing a Communist speaker to the
campus in April. He will be the
main speaker at the Great Lakes
College Association conference to
be held there.
