And

so fair

and I just love it," she
said.
\ "This whole fair is for the
over 25 types - with money,"
said a campus type to his cam-
pus wife.
And he had a point.
By bringing their work into
the streets of South and East
University,.t h e artists\ had
made an fxc ting and vital dis-
play.
But there are so many ar-
tists that the whole thing ac-
quires the character of a more
museum.
The artists, at least many
of them, seemed out of their
element on the streets. And
they must be frustrated When
street walkers appraise with
glazed eyes the work it took
them hours and weeks to do.
Thus the smiling encounter
between the artists and the
people who know they will
never see each other again is
sadly tinged with emptiness.
Several of the artists just
wanted to get to the swimming
pool of the Holiday Inn, where
they are staying.
And after an half hour at
the fair, the Viewers were
ready to amicably join them.
I couldn't blame them. It
was blistering 'hot yesterday,
and my feet hurt. "Waa," a
baby cried in front of me.
"Waa," I thought, and laughed
at my own absurdity. A girl
stared at me.
