Sigma, Phi Delta Chi and the American Pharmaceutical Associa-
tion are sponsoring the annual dance and will donate all proceeds

TILL NEXT YEAR
Pins, Chants, Enthusiasm
Mark End of Rush Season

v'

By SUSAN KARP

The IBM machines are quiet now
and brightly colored pledge pins
have appeared around the campus.
These and other signs indicate
that sorority rush is over for an-
other year. If you call the Chi
Omega House you will hear the
"melody" of
"This is the Chi Omega House
A little pledge is speaking
If you will tell me whom you want
I'll find whom you are seeking"
sung hesitatingly intp the phone.
The rush chairman, Marcy Fo-
dell, '59, said that the actives are,
really "happy to see all the new
faces." This is the sentiment heard
in other houses too.
At Alpha Epsilon Phi, Gail
Kravitz, '60Ed., said that her house
has "the best pledges ever, ever."

Sharon Koski, the pledge chair-
man of Phi Mu said the pledges
and the chapter are both really
enthusiastic and that she is sure
they "will all have a wonderful
time until initiation."
And from the new members
come sighs of relief. The pressure
is off and they're happy to be
pledges.
Dentists Set
Odonto BalI
The junior class of the School of
Dentistry will present its annual
formal dance, the Odonto Ball,
from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. March 14
at the Union Ballroom.
This is the twenty-fifth dental
school dance. The theme will be
the silver anniversary of the ball,
and special invitations are being
sent to the class of 1936, which
presented the first, then known as
the All Dental"Ball.
The dance is given in honor
of the graduating seniors, and is
attended by dental students, den-
tal school faculty and alumni.
The "joys of life in dental
school" will be depicted in a
movie made by the junior class
to be presented at intermission.

WAA Board

Still Available
Students interested in petition-
ing for positions on the Women's
Athletic Association Board may
still pick up their petitions at the
Women's Athletic Building, Bar-
bour Gym and the Women's Pool.
Petitions are due March 10 and
may be placed in Norma Clarke's
box in the League Undergraduate
Office. At this time the student
may sign up for an interview as
dates will be posted then.
For the position of president, all
women petitioning must be schol-

held in Oregon this year. She also
must approve all requisitions and
bills and submit a final report to
the secretary.
Two vice-presidents, one in
charge of projects and the other
in charge of student relations, will
be chosen through the process of
petitioning. This year's project
vice-president, Penny P a m e r,
'60Ed., assumed the position of co-
chairman of Spring Weekend.
The vice-president in charge of
student relations serves as chair-
man of all intramural programs
and also schedules all house ath-
letic manager meetings.

ager, field hockey manager, golf
manager and ski unit manager. In
addition, rifle club manager and
tennis manager positions are now

chosen from the club membership
only.
Both men and women are eli-
