Reeking with gore, with blood oozing i
from every page, the coming number soci
of the Gargoyle promises to be a amb
thriller. The editors speak of it as the mak
murder number, and regard it with awe. succe
So it is to be officially designated.
Gruesome though the details may be, \li
this novel issue promises thrills in i
plenty. Finding at their disposal sev- priat
eral strong stories of unusualy excel-
lence, which by a strange coincidence coac
were all on gruesome topics, the edit-C
ors determined to mould the entire
number to the subjects of homicide and \;
death. Even the leading humorous C. I
story, by Donald Kahn, is of the efforts stree
of a crew of frightened sailors to save
a dying shipmate by means of faith Fi
treatments.
The leading serious stories are the
work of Lee White and of Harold Titus 8
respectively. Both are tragic in their
interest and in their climax, Bly at TI

ZOWSKI WRITES ARTICLES
ABOUT "WATER TURBINES"
Among articles that have been written
by members of the faculty is one by
J. C. Zowski of the engineering depart-
ment, on "Rational Methods of Deter-
mining the Principle Dimensions of
Water Turbines." The article appeared
in the Engineering News of Jan. 6.
This article is the second written by Mr.
Zowski on turbines that has appeared
lately, and is written with the view of
using it together with the first and an-
other now in the course of preparation,
as a text book. Mr. Zowski is engaged
in the writing of a text book on tur-
bines and these articles will take its
