Unfortunately, not every vacant building in Detroit will be "I':'
torn down by Halloween Eve. Help protect your home and
your family.
Here's how:
• Adopt a vacant house in your neighborhood. Watch and
report suspicious activity for one day-Halloween Eve-- _ "',
for just six hours, 6 p.m. to midnight. •
• To volunteer, call 224-3450.

Arsonists like to work in the dark. Keep a light on your
property during this time.

ALL STARS
Detroit's youth can play an active role in keeping Halloween
Eve arsona thing of the past by join Mayor Archer's Pride All
I" Stars. To join the Pride All Stars, all you have t� do is sign a
t pledge agreeing to:
t • Obey all laws and work all year long to make Detroit a
better place.

• Obey the Halloween Eve curfew and the regular curfew
throughout the year.
• Encourage three friends to 'join the Pride All Stars.
• Talk to your tarnily about the dangers of Halloween Eve
arson and encourage your parents or guardians to
volunteer to help stop Halloween Eve arson.
• Stay in school and be a good student.
Each youth who takes this pledge will be eligible for one of
many prizes in a huge drawing. Call 224-3755 for more
information.

7766 (96-ARSON).
Try not to throw out easily flammable materials du.ring the
