TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF
SAID SCHOOL DISTRICT:
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the AN­
NUAL Sl.HOOL ELECTION will be held
in said School District on MON DAY,
JUNE 13, 1994.
There will be elected one (1) member
of the Board of Education of the School
District to fill a vacancy for a three (3)­
year unexpired term, beginning July 1.
1994, and ending June 30, 1997.
There will be elected two (2) members
of the Board of Education of the School
District to fulfill two expired four (4)-year
terms (terms beginning July 1, 1994, and
ending June 30, 1998).
Act 451, Public Acts of Michigan,
1976, as amended, provides in part as
follows:
''The Inspectors of Election at any an­
nual 0 special election shall not receive
the vote of any person residing in a reg­
istration school district whose name is
not registered as an elector in the city or
township in which the person resides."
The last day for receiving registration
for said Annual Election will be MONDAY,
MAY 16, 1994. Persons registering after
5:00 P.M., Eastern Time, on said MON­
DAY, MAY 16, 1994, will not be eligible to
vote at said Annual Election. Persons
planning to register must determine
when the City Clerk's office will be open
for registration.
Under the provisions of Act 451, Pub­
lic Acts of Michigan, 1976, as amended,
registration will not be taken by school
officials, and only persons who have reg­
istered as general electors with the ap­
propriate Township or City Clerk of the
Township or: City in which they reside, or
through registration at a Secretary of
State Drivers' License Bureau, are regis­
tered school electors.

SYNOPSIS OF THE REGULAR MEET­
ING OF THE BENTON CHARTER
TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES
HELD ON TUE3DAY, APRIL 19, 1994,
AT 7:00 P.M.
Members present: Supervisor Boothby,
Clerk Askew, Treasurer Mammina &
Trustees Isaac, Mott & Wells.
Memb rs absent: Trustee Hudson.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00
p.m. followed by a silent mvocanon and
the Pledge of Allegiance. The minutes of
the regular meeting held April 5, 1994,
were approved as presented. The
Agenda was amended under New Busi­
ness to add Items J. Cornerstone Proc­
lamation, K. Seek B & Z for removal of
River Park Trees, K. Seek Demolition
Bids for 5 Condemned Homes, and omit
Item A. Executive Committee Report.
Also, Item E. under Old Business was
moved up to become the first item.
On recommendation of the Police Com­
mittee, authorized purchase of two radar
units and radios for the Police D part­
ment.
Authorized purchase ot trash truck from
Zarembe Equipment, Inc.
Authorized Airport contribution in the
amount of $20,000.00 ($10,000.00 pay­
able now and remainder contingent upon
St. Joseph Twp. contributing a like
amount).
Held Public Hearings and adopted reso­
lutions establishing the Connection Serv­
ice Industrial Development District and
approving Connection SeNice Co. 's ap­
plication for an Industrial Facilities Ex­
emption Certificate for 12 years.
Announced petition for establishment of
Cribbs and Wabash Water Main Special
Assessment District was withdrawn .on
written request of property owners.
Held Second Public Hearing and
adopted resolution establish the Emer­
son and Ames Road Paving Special As­
sessment District No. 94-2, spreading
the cost to property owners over a 10
year period at 6% interest.
Accepted bid of Computer People, Inc.
for purchase of 5 computers.
Authorized condemnation procee Ings
for property at 1 69 Ridgeway.
