Gregory J. Shepherd, 20, of Ben­
ton Harbor died April 8, at M rey Me­
morial Medical Center, St. Joseph. He
was a victim of a shooting In B nton
HArbor on March 24.
The funeral was held April 25, ·at
Robbins Chapel, Benton Harbor. Bur­
ial was In Crystal Spring Cemetery.
He was born March 15, 1974, In
Benton Harbor.
, Survivors include: his parents, Otis
and Versle Shepherd of Benton Har­
bor; a daughter, Shabrea Sheph rd of
Benton Harbor; two brothers, Michael
Delaney of Benton Harbor and Eric'
Thomas of Kalamazoo; e ght sisters,
Brenda Delaney, Mary Lewis, Mar­
garette Shepherd and Tracy Partee,
all of Benton Harbor, Ola Shepherd
and Patricia Shepherd, both of
Kankakee, III., and Cynthia Pink and
Linda Thomas, both of Kalamazoo;
and grandparents, Marcella Martin
and Vergle Delaney, both of Benton
Harbor.

Benton Harbor; four ststers, Shelltha
McKee. Beverly Clark and Yvonne
Hightower. all of Benton Harbor. and
Deborah Love of Florida; two brothers,
Otis Turner Jr of Benton Harbor and
Otis Thompson 0 Chicago; two step­
brothers, Jeffrey Phillips of Benton
Harbor and Timothy Peacock of Ken­
tucky; and grandparents, Anna Belle
Broo s of Maywood, III., and Mary
Leslie, Willie Leslie and Sharon Cray­
ton, all of Benton Harbor.
Betty Robnson, 57, died April 16,
t her home In Benton Harbor after a
short Illness.
The body was transferred from
Robbins Brothers Chapel, Benton
Harbor to the Spriggs & Watson Fu­
neral Home, Pittsburg, Pa., where the
funeral was held Aprfl 23.
Mrs. Robinson was born April 8,
1937, In Pittsburg.
Survivors Include: two sons,
Lamont Stevens of University Par1<, III.
and Terrance Stevens of Benton Har­
bor; three grandchildren; and three
sisters, Uilian Berry and Odessa Le­
wis, both of New Haven, Conn. and
Loraine Igwe of Pittsburg. She was
preceded In death by a son, John
Stevens In 1980

Harry Coates, 63, of Benton Har­
bor died April 1 7, at Mercy Memorial
Medical Center, St. Joseph.
The funeral was held April 26, at
the Ebenezer Baptist Church, Benton
Harbor. Burfal was in North Shore
Memory Gardens. Robbins Brothers
Funeral Home, Benton Harbor was In
charge of arrangements.
Mr. Coates was born In 1931 In
Benton rbor.
Survivors Inlcude: his wife, Bar­
bara; a daughter, Lawanda Jones of
Saginaw, Mich.; six stepdaughters,
Faith, Deloris and April Jefferson, Lila
Scott and Barbara Hawkins, all of Ben­
ton Harbor, and Jean Jefferson of
Oakland, Calif.; a stepson. Mark Jef­
ferson of Muskegon; 1 7 grandchll-.
dren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a
sister, Sandra Toms of Saginaw.
