According to John Pesta, as
sistant to the Brotherhood of
Maintenance Way Employees
union secretary-treasurer, the
abandoned headquarters of the
Brotherhood of Maintenance
Way Employees at Woodward
and California will be used for a
new city hall.
Pesta said both the union and
the city were dealing with a pri
vate investor for the last six
months on the project. He re
fused to say who this private
investor was. "If they (city offi
cials) want. you to know, they
can fill you in on the details."
The Michigan Citizen could
not reach city offici ls by the
time of this deadline.

HARARE, 21mbabw (AP) - A
white man who traveled to three
countries on a Black man's pass
port was fined dlrs 100 for using
a stolen travel document, court
officials said Wednesday.
Cornelius Halgryn, 40,
changed the photograph in the
passport but left intact all other
information, including the des
ignation that the passport
holder was Black; said officials
at the Harare magistrate'
court.
Halgryn pleaded guilty to
charges he used the passport il
legally to travel from Zimbabwe
to Malawi, Mozambique and
South Africa.
