want to stand out in a crowd.
Tillman jokes about the look and
refers to it as the "mall clone"
syndrome.
"1 like the mall too, but people
need to wear what they like,"
TILLMAN CREDITS her
mother for having an influence on
her ense for style. However, since
owning the shop and honing an even
wilder taste for fashion, Tillman ay ,
it's rubbed off on Mom, who bas
come up with some pretty shocking
outfits.
As for herself, Tillman reveals
that when it comes to accessories,
"The bigger, the brighter, the better.
I could never wear just one strand of
pearls. I would have to wear seven
or eight strands."

ists of 62 Dayton's, Hudson's and Marshall Field's
to, announced that it will expand the new
Cross Colours portswear collection t� 21 of its stores

Cro Colours is a unique as ortment of portswear
inspired by the African-American, inner-city hip-hop
trend of the fashion industry. The clothing is accom
panied by the mes age "Clothing Without Prejudice,"
and is designed to raise the social consciousness of
the public with its anti-violence and anti-racism mes-
aagea.
B ed in Lo An les, Cro Colours i an
Afrlcan-American-o ned and ethnically diverse
sportswear company that launched its first collection
in 1991. Dayton's, Hudson's, and Marshall Field's
are the first retailers to offer the complete collection
to their customers last fall in seven stores.
Due to the overwbelmingly positive response from
c tomers, the Department Store Division expanded
the collection to 15 of i to this pring .
Cro Colours communicates its educational me -
sages against gang violence and domestic violence .
through its clothing. For example, Cro Colours
designs t-shirts that expre "Education is the Key"
and "Love Sees No-Color," among other messages.
In ddition, the hangtags on the Cross Colours
garments carry these anti -vtolence ge to cus
