CHOCOLATE WALNUT
OAT COOKIES
6 oz. plqr. (1 cup) semisweet
chocolate pieces, divided
1 cup butter or margarine,

Heat oven to 3SO·F. Lightly grea cookie heet . Melt chocolate piece ;
et a ide. Combine butter, brown ugar, egg and vanilla; beat until light
and fluffy. Blend in melted chocolate. Stir in flour and baking oda; mix
well. Stir in oat and 2 cup walnut . Drop by table poonful onto grea ed
cookie heets. Sprinkle top with remaining 112 cup walnut . Bake in
upper thud of oven at 350 F. for 10 to 12 minute . Remove from cookie
heet ; coolon wire rack . Make about 4 dozen cookie .

minute longer or until vegetable
