Dear Erik,
A coup e of year ago, my
good friend from California
called and said th he wanted
to come to ew York for
vi it and perhap 100 for some
ork. Hi life in California
w s going from bad to wor .
Hi ife left him for another
man and he was out of work.
When he arrived my life chang
ed bee use he was al ays
depre d and ju sitting
around feeling sorry for him-
If and drinking. He tayed
• t 0 month and I paid for
everything. After he went
back hom to hi ife, I paid
for a two hundred telephone_
bill. All of this put me in a
real strain becau I don't have
a lot of money. Once he was
home he called to say he was
gouig to end me orne money
for the bills th t he had run up
during his stay, but he never
did! or did he ever call until
today. He said that he was so
sorry and h d so many problem
then. He wanted us to still be
friends. He never mentioned
the money that he owes me.
What do you think that I should
do.
